More than surfing, the jovial atmosphere in the beaches of Zambales becomes a magnet that attract strangers to become friends with one another. Similar to most surfing spots in the Philippines, the beach vibe here draws artists, musicians, poets, writers and everyone in between those mastering and starting to learn the sport of surfing. While the surfing conditions here aren’t as consistent as the ones in Siargao, Bagasbas, Baler and Catanduanes, there are a lot of fun activities to do while anticipating the waves to come. Zambales just gained attention for surfing only a few years ago. It has since become a go-to surfing destination for many people since it is a mere a 3-hour drive from Manila. Once here, don’t forget to check out the Crystal Beach Break and the High 5 Lahar surf spots.
